WRITER Susan Karnovsky
Susan Karnovskys writing experience includes 25 years of editing and writing scripts for TV, video, theatre, radio, for Nickelodeon, Disney, Warner Brothers Time-Warner and Childrens Television Workshop (producers of Sesame Street.) She created nationally syndicated segments for American Public Radios Kids America which won the George Foster Peabody award.
Susans text and trade storybooks are published by Scholastics, Grolier, Macmillan, Doubleday, Random House, Western, Troll Publishers. She was a Contributing Editor for the national award winning Magazine Converge where she contributed hundreds of interviews and articles focusing on state-of-the-art educational technology.
As a lyricist Susan collaborated on musical projects with Academy award winning composer Alan Menken, and jazz composer Chris Brubeck.
Susan is also a professional improvisor who performed on and off Broadway, and has conducted workshops in theatres and schools around the country. Additionally, She taught musical theatre at Pratt Institute and writing at the University of South Florida.
