Here are some excerpts from the Warner Sisters quarterly newsletter (volume 1, number 2):
QUOTATION
"We have it within our power to speak to hundreds of millions of people two hours at a time in the dark. No single person before has ever had that power -- no emperor, no saint, no individual however powerful. So, we have a tremendous responsibility."
PROJECTS IN DEVELOPMENT
Here's the latest on the Warner Sisters development scene:
Rights have just been secured for Madeline Cartwright's autobiographical novel FOR THE CHILDREN -- the story of an inspirational principal who single-handedly takes on a degraded school system in the slums of Philadelphia. The script is available.
Another new addition to the production slate is THE JEANIE TRAHANT STORY, a dramatic tale of hope and triumph focusing on the true events in the life of an ex-heroin addict.
And finally, we're happy to announce that Jim Sadwith has joined the production team working on HOLLYWOOD BE THY NAME -- THE WARNER BROTHERS STORY. Jim has extensive writing and directing credits including: SINATRA (1992), IN BROAD DAYLIGHT (1991), and BABY M -- for which he received an Emmy nomination (1988).
