Don Moss





Donald Moss is legal counsel for Warner Sisters Productions, Inc.

Mr. Moss has thirteen years of intensive, specialized experience in entertainment law. Additionally, he has approximately three years experience in other legal matters, such as litigation, corporate and general business. He was with the law firm of O'Melveny and Myers for more than five years and Mitchell, Silberberg and Knupp for more than four years. He is currently in partnership at Sobol, Raldiris and Moss.

The clients for whom he has and is doing work include financiers, producers, directors, writers, actors, distributors (both foreign and domestic) and studios, including home video distributors as well as television syndicators and production companies.

Mr. Moss' entertainment practice includes representing clients in connections with:

  1. Transactions involving the purchase and sale of motion picture production companies
  2. Transactions involving the purchase and sale of literary property libraries
  3. Transactions involving the purchase and sale of distribution companies
  4. Acquisition of rights to literary properties, such as the motion picture and television rights to novels, life stories, etc.
  5. Investigation of a multitude of copyright law questions
  6. Agreements between producers and financiers for the financing of development and/or production of motion picture and television products
  7. All of the various agreements connected with production of a motion picture or television program, including agreements with actors, directors, writers, production facilities, music synchronization licenses, errors and ommission insurance companies, completion bond companies, etc.
  8. Negotiations with the various unions including the Screen Actors Guild, the Directors Guild and the Writers Guild
  9. Agreements for distribution of motion picture and/or television programs, including theatrical distribution, television distribution (including network licensing agreements and syndications agreements), home video distribution, pay television distribution, cable television (including HBO and Showtime), and distribution in various media foreign territories
  10. Agreements between writers and book publishers
  11. Agreements between performers and record companies; music publishing agreements
  12. Agreements between rights-holders and merchandizing companies
  13. Transactions for the sale and purchase of fine art
  14. Agreements between sports personalities and promotional companies

In addition, for more than eight years, Mr. Moss was a professional actor and writer. He acted in six theatrical motion pictures, which included DEATH WISH II and ST. ELMO'S FIRE as well as a dozen television productions. As a playwright, he has two produced plays.
