Cass Warner is chairman of the board and president of Warner Sisters Productions, Inc. She is responsible for finding the creative projects that end up on the Warner Sisters slate as well as seeing to it that the writer's story remains intact throughout the production.

Cass' fascination with motion pictures began at a very early age, as her grandfather was Harry Warner, founder and president of the Warner Brothers studio, and her father was writer/producer Milton Sperling, who was twice nominated for an Academy Award for his films THE SANDS OF IWO JIMA and THE COURT-MARTIAL OF BILLY MITCHELL. Cass spent many pleasurable hours on the set watching and learning the magic involved in the filmmaking process.

Early on, Cass showed her talent as a tap dancer. This grew into a love for acting, which she studied under several teachers including director Milton Katselas. After appearing in a number of movies and television shows and becoming the mother of three, she realized it was important for her to be closer to home.

During this time her interest in education grew and she began a central clearinghouse for innovative education called The New Schools Exchange. She also compiled a book on marriage and the raising of children published by Bridge Publications.

Her own education continued as well. She took screenwriting classes by Syd Field, Viki King and Howard Koch (author of CASABLANCA) and worked with and apprenticed under her father. Cass co-wrote with Jack Skinner a treatment for a film based on the life of Buckminster Fuller. Then, Cass committed over seven years of her life to the telling of the Warner brothers' story.

Cass' closeness to her grandfather and her hearing her father's insights about his days at Warner Brothers inspired Cass to research and chronicle her family's unique and dramatic history. This resulted in her book HOLLYWOOD BE THY NAME: THE WARNER BROTHERS STORY (Prima Publishing/St. Martin's Press), published in 1993 (for more on HOLLYWOOD BE THY NAME, please see turn to the Warner Sisters Home Page). Recently Cass was listed in the 1993/94 edition of the INTERNATIONAL AUTHORS AND WRITERS WHO'S WHO.

Intrigued by the legacy of her family and the creative philosophy of her grandfather, which was to use the medium of film to "educate, entertain and enlighten," she decided to carry on the Warner tradition by forming her own company -- Warner Sisters Productions, Inc.

Warner Sisters is designed to be a development and production company working in the fields of motion pictures, television, home video and multi-media. Cass has assembled her key staff and chosen her first slate of projects. These include a TV mini-series based on her book about the Warner family; a coming-of-age screenplay written by Jack Skinner, A SHADE OF GREY; a screenplay based on Howard Koch's unpublished novel THE COLDEST WAR; and a film written by and featuring Jonathan Winters.
