As you start learning how to use IRC, you will probably learn the /whois command. You'll notice that everyone's hostmask is the same as yours. This is for security reasons and protects you from getting nuked and various other things. You may also notice that a select few people have a distinction of having a line in their /whois that says they are an IRCop. These people run the server and can do just about anything. If you have a question, feel free to ask them, if you get stuck with nickserv or any of the other services, type /join #irc-help and ask for help. That channel is where IRCops hang out and answer questions of the users. Be warned, dont make them mad because then can ban you from the Stratics Servers and then you can't talk anymore. There is also a second channel that is for trusted members only. In order to gain access to this channel, you need to talk to Naudica in IRC. He is usually in #gen, #dnn, or #dt. He is also a channel operator in #gen, so he is easy to pick out. Other things you need to know is that Chanserv is a service, it will always be in the channel to prevent channel takeoevers and other things. In order to get help on Nickserv/Chanserv/Memoserv, type /msg help . The service being the one you want help with. Also, your daddies in IRC are Naudica, Yare, Khosaf, Tybalt and Dagashi.
